Monday
Today was the first day of my winter holiday, and I woke up feeling excited but also a little nervous. Winter break is always a special time for me because it gives me a chance to relax and enjoy some quiet moments at home. However, there’s also homework waiting for me, so balance is key.
After breakfast, I decided to start with my English diary. Writing in English helps me practice my vocabulary and grammar skills. I chose to write about my favorite winter activity—making snowmen. It’s something I love doing when the weather cooperates. I described how we gather snow, pack it into balls, and decorate our snowman with carrots for noses and buttons made from pebbles. My family and I had so much fun laughing as we tried to make the perfect snowman.
Later in the afternoon, I read a few pages of an English novel I borrowed from the library. The story is set in a small village surrounded by mountains, which reminded me of my own hometown. Reading helps me improve my comprehension and learn new expressions.
Before dinner, I spent some time reviewing what I learned in school last term. It felt good to go over the material again because it refreshed my memory. After dinner, I played board games with my younger brother, which was a nice way to unwind after studying.
Overall, today was a productive day. I managed to get some work done while still having fun. Tomorrow, I plan to continue working on my homework and maybe try out a new recipe for hot cocoa. Winter break is all about finding joy in little things, and I’m looking forward to enjoying every moment.
Goodnight!
