New Year is one of the most important festivals in China. It usually comes in January or February. People celebrate it with a lot of activities and traditions.

On New Year’s Eve, my family and I always get together. We cook a big dinner and watch the Spring Festival Gala on TV. My mother makes delicious food like dumplings and rice cakes. My father and I clean the house to welcome the new year. We also put up red couplets and hang red lanterns. Red is the color of happiness and good luck.

On the first day of the new year, we wear new clothes and visit our relatives. We give each other red envelopes with money inside. Children are very happy because they can get money from their elders. We also say "Happy New Year" to everyone we meet.

I love the New Year because it is a time for family, joy, and hope. It makes me feel warm and excited.

新年是中国最重要的节日之一。它通常在1月或2月。人们会通过各种活动和传统来庆祝。

在除夕夜，我和家人总是聚在一起。我们做一顿丰盛的晚餐，并在电视上看春节联欢晚会。妈妈会做很多美味的食物，比如饺子和年糕。我和爸爸一起打扫房子，迎接新年。我们还贴春联、挂红灯笼。红色是幸福和好运的颜色。
